Orthodontic Assistant
I love the interaction with our patients and their families. Getting to know them, hearing their stories and all about their adventures, and becoming real friends while they move through the treatment process, are all rewarding aspects of my work here. My duties include setting up the treatment areas for the doctor to perform services and providing assistance while the doctor is caring for our patient. I also sterilize and disinfect our instruments and equipment.
Away from the office, my focus is on my wonderful family.

Seeing our patients smile just makes my day. I love working with them, and since orthodontic treatment takes a while, we really get to know each other. I look forward to their visits, because I know I’ll be hearing all about patients’ latest triumphs in the classroom or on the sports field, or about their newest discoveries and hobbies. My duties include answering our phones, making patient appointments and sales appointments, ordering supplies, paying our bills, and managing our email, as well. I’ve worked with this practice for more than 20 years.
During my time here, I’ve gotten married and had a daughter. I enjoy taking road trips and going camping with my family.

I really like how this is a positive office. Everyone is always smiling and laughing, especially our patients. They come in for their visits almost jumping with excitement, because they can’t wait to share the latest joke with our team. Watching their new smiles develop, and seeing their personalities blossom, is so amazing! I answer our phones, make patient appointments, and handle the accounts receivable. I also discuss the best way to care for one’s braces with new patients, making sure they know what to do and how to do it.
In my personal life, I have three children and three grandchildren, and I love spending time with my family. I am also very active with my church.

I love knowing that my work helps a patient develop a great, healthy smile that will make his or her life better. It’s so rewarding to be able to make positive change in someone’s life. I prepare appliances and retainers during and after treatment, pour impressions, and prepare beginning study models and retention models. I also keep our laboratory clean.
When I’m not working, I’m with my family and love spending time with my son. I also enjoy a good round or two of golf and am an active church member.
